While visitors to the motor show in Frankfurt are considering the «A1 Citycarver» and «Q3 Sportback», as well as the RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback, which made a lot of noise, the Germans are already preparing the premiere of a new electric crossover. Audi has announced the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show, which will debut the «E-Tron Sportback» on November 19, right from the booth.



The car is still hidden, but its design is no longer a secret. The Sportback will be built along the lines of the regular E-Tron crossover, only in coupe form. The slope of the C-pillars and glass will give it a more impetuous and stylish look, but will steal headroom for rear passengers and trunk space. Of course, you will have to pay for beauty not only in size, but also in a higher price tag.



Technically, the Sportback is unlikely to differ from the «base» E-Tron, which means it will receive a 408 hp electric motor. with a torque of 664 Nm. According to spy photos, a sports version of the «E-Tron S» is also being prepared for the model, which is likely to receive a third electric motor for more output.



According to preliminary information, the Audi E-Tron Spaceback will go on sale in early 2020. The E-Tron crossover is already available to American and European buyers starting at €80,900.
