Off-road tuning for Porsche Cayenne Turbo Transsyberia (2005)
The Porsche Cayenne is currently getting ready for a major update that will surely make it better, more powerful and more luxurious.
But let's not forget that this car is quite capable of going off-road, although no one in their right mind has yet tried to do this. But in vain! Porsche has an impressive off-road history, and even the famous 911 has seen a lot of rally racing. All in all, in our opinion, the Cayenne is the perfect donor for building a hardcore off-road fighter.
And if you like the idea, but aren't ready to shell out a million dollars for tuning, then we have the perfect solution: buy a 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo that's off-road ready and listed in the Bring a Trailer auction catalog.
This Cayenne is powered by a 4.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 450 hp. with 624 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission and an optional rear differential lock.
In addition, there is a three-inch lift, LED roof lights, a spare wheel gate, a power sunroof and a rear spoiler from a later Cayenne model. It also features off-road details such as underbody protection, additional canisters and non-transferable orange 18-inch wheels from a 2010 Cayenne wrapped in 265/65 R18 Kenda Klever atash tires. The bodywork is painted in metallic silver with orange vinyl graphics in the style of Transsyberia.
The interior is upholstered in smooth black leather, power-adjustable heated front and rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and an Xtrons multimedia audio system. The car is being sold with a clean Carfax report and, two days before the auction, is priced at a very reasonable $18,250. So if you've been wanting to buy an off-road Porsche Cayenne, then the best thing to do is to do so now.
