Toyota made a «family» dragster from the Sequoia SUV

This dragster based on the Sequoia SUV commissioned by NHRA Top Fuel Series racer Entron Brown.
The car was designed as part of the Toyota Racing Dream Build charity competition and is equipped with a 650-horsepower supercharged engine.

To prove its family car status, DragQuoia has four racing seats with five-point harnesses, as well as one similar child seat. The machine is equipped with a 650-horsepower V8 engine with a mechanical supercharger and a nitrous oxide system. The chassis of the SUV has also been improved - Sequoia has become 725 kilograms lighter.

In addition, the car has a roll cage and rear tires with a diameter of 21.5 inches (55 centimeters), and at the rear of the dragster is a parachute designed for braking.

The Toyota Racing Dream Build competition is attended by four American racers who build racing cars based on Toyota's production models, guided by their own preferences. The DragQuoia was the last car to be shown, after NASCAR drivers Kyle Busch (Toyota Camry) and Clint Boyer (Toyota Prius) and NHRA driver Alexis DeJoria (Toyota Tundra) showed their cars.

The vote for the best car is on the official Toyota Racing Facebook page. It will run until October 29, and the winner will be announced on October 30 during the SEMA Tuning Show in Las Vegas. The winner of the competition will receive a $50,000 check to donate to a charity of their choice.
