«Ferrari» pilot Sebastian Vettel also took the podium. Max Verstappen took the first pole position in Hungary, but missed the future winner towards the end of the race. Valtteri Bottas started from the first row with the Dutchman, but already in the first turn he broke his wing and finished only eighth.

The top three was closed by Sebastian Vettel at «Ferrari», who, thanks to tactics, was able to overtake teammate Charles Leclerc. Russian Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kvyat fought for points, but at the end of the race he killed his rubber and finished only in 15th position.
