The competition will be held in Saudi Arabia on January 1-14. So far, only 70% of the route has been officially announced.

The qualifying round will start in Jeddah and will lead the racers to Hail, where the marathon is scheduled to start.

Participants will have to go to Riyadh for a week, and then the same amount to finish in Jeddah.

The rally has a new category T1-Ultimate for cars running on alternative fuels.

430 cars will participate in the race. Another 148 will pass the traditional Dakar Classic. The Russian Lada Niva will also participate in it.

In 2021, Stefan Petransel won the Dakar rally among SUVs, and Dmitry Sotnikov won among trucks.
