The second place was taken by the seven-time world champion British driver of «Mercedes» Lewis Hamilton, who held the 300th Grand Prix in his career. The third was his teammate and compatriot George Russell.

Starting from the first position and leading in the race, Leclerc lost control in one of the corners on the 18th lap and flew into the chippers.
