VAZ-2105: «Zhigatsar» as a symbol of Russian drift

The history of another domestic car in the RDS GP began with rally sprints, where Fedor Vorobyov started. At the same time, the pilot himself always liked to ride in a controlled skid.
It is not surprising that when the first drift championships appeared, the VAZ-2105 began to appear there as well. Gradually, the car evolved and in more than 10 years turned into the most famous Zhiguli in Russia - the «Zhigatsar» project, which the owner has been engaged in almost all his life, has become a symbol of domestic drift.

Of course, something remains of the standard «five» in the car, but there are plenty of components and assemblies from other cars, as well as unique custom solutions in the project. Given the fact that there were accidents (I would like to believe that the last of them was a crash in Ryazan at the stage of 2020), «Zhigatsar» changed the body, Fedor Vorobyov himself, who now represents Fresh Auto Drift, changed teams, which affected the livery of the car, but until now, some elements from the very first version of the sports VAZ-2105, with which it all began, have been preserved in it. Now almost 800-horsepower Zhiguli and a charismatic pilot are known to everyone who has even heard something about drifting. And this story does not end - Fedor Vorobyov is not going to change the VAZ-2105, so the «Zhigatsar», which literally bathes in people's love at every stage of the RDS GP, will still declare itself.
